Results Green Hydrogen Futures Workshop

In November 2025, researchers from Africa, Asia, South America, and Europe gathered at the University of Bayreuth to discuss the future of green hydrogen. Over two days, inspiring talks and debates explored opportunities and challenges: regulatory gaps, governance models, education and capacity building, and technological innovations such as seawater desalination. Namibia, Kenya, and Oman emerged as key case studies for hydrogen development. The outcome: a clear call for an "All-waether Grenn Hydrogen Strategy" to navigate uncertainties and drive sustainable energy transitions in the Global South.
