Dr. Özge Dolunay’s dissertation, titled “Electricity is Life: Exploring the Process of Modernization in Off-Grid Energy Governance in Namibia,” is now available as an e-book here or can be borrowed from the university library.

The dissertation examines how modernization is experienced and shaped in rural, off-grid regions of Namibia. It focuses not only on technology, but also on the significance of electricity in people’s daily lives.
