Future for the Youth in Kulmbach - Researching the Future Youth Workshops

We are the Research Mission Future Youth from the Department of Social and Population Geography at the University of Bayreuth and we research the living environments of adolescents and young adults in rural areas. We are currently conducting a youth study in the Kulmbach district. Using a participatory approach, we are conducting research together with the adolescents and young adults. Against the background of the availability of spaces for teenagers and young adults, we want to create incentives and support politicians and sponsors in planning processes. We previously researched the youth future workshop of the Kreisjugendring in Kulmbach. After 15 successful rounds in smaller communities in the district, the Future Workshop 2022 in the city of Kulmbach is taking place on a much larger scale, which is why accompanying research here is of particular importance for the further development of the youth-social planning and development concept. In order to research both the implementation process of the Future Workshop and its success in the best possible way, the accompanying research will work on the fields of "Evaluation of the Kulmbach Future Workshop", "Evaluation of the previous locations" and "Lessons learned / way forward" over a planned time frame of one year.
